I. BACKGROUND Michael Shane DeVilbiss, a Certified Hotel Administrator was elected to the Chamber Board of the Las Vegas/Sin City Chamber of Commerce in November of 2005 for the 2006-2007 sessions.
In December 2005, Michael also received the distinction as Business Scholar by the Gearson Lehman Group in the field of Hospitality/Lodging and Casino Operations, an area of expertise, which he has been involved in for over 16 years. The Gearson Lehman Group is a group of professionals and consultants in various industries and specialties who educate and share insights with financial and business leaders and other organizations and professionals.
Michael received his B.A. "With High Distinction" from Hartford University with a Major in Business Management and a Minor in Marketing. He also attended Colleges of the Air Force in Germany and was nominated to the U.S. Air Force Academy, by Barry Goldwater in 1976. Michael a single parent is a Native of Texas and is conversant in Spanish and German.
